Environment
Put simply litho printing has three key elements Ink, Paper and Plates.
At Airdrie Print Services we recognize the need to reduce our environmental footprint whilst maintaining quality, and have targeted these three steps.
Ink
By using vegetable based inks we can reduce or even cut out volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emissions. VOCs are carbon-containing gases and vapours that are released from solvents used during the printing process.
Paper
We offer a range of Recycled and FSC papers for our customers to choose from and we also Recycle our waste paper. If your company supports this environmental challenge, then ask a member of our staff about the range of papers on offer. We can work with customers to discuss their requirements and offer alternatives, showing a clear benefit to our environment.
Plates
Last year we invested in a new CTP System (Computer to Plate). This system is Chemistry Free which allows us to take full advantage of Chemistry Free metal plates. This system is also future proof to deal with any further advances in CTP technology.
Another added benefit of this system is that it allows us to re-use metal plates at a later date.
